to hold a Back to School Back Pack Giveaway. The event is scheduled for August 16, 2015 at 3:00p.m. at the Lauderdale Lakes Multipurpose Building located at 4340 NW 36th Street, Lauderdale Lakes, FL.
Back to school is an exciting time for kids but can, sometimes, spell stress for many working parents. The cost of living continues to erode the ability for many to buy necessary school supplies. Knowing this, Elite Events Management, Inc. and the City teamed up with CILB to provide those much needed supplies to the children of CILB and Lauderdale Lakes during the Back to School Soiree. “There’s nothing more rewarding than making a difference in the lives of the people in the community by giving back,” said Acting City Manager Danny Holmes. “We applaud the efforts of our local vendor, Elite Events and the Lauderdale Lakes staff for their ability to come together and organize this worthy cause.”
The Parks and Human Services department provided the venue to host the event and has worked along-side Elite events to market the event. Treasa Brown Stubbs, Director of Parks and Human services said, “The City is focused on providing a better quality of life for the residents and applaud the efforts of our local business owners who recognize the rewards of giving back to their neighbors and community as a whole.” “To have an opportunity to support such a worthy cause and give back to the Community along-side Elite Events Management is the exact type partnership we are most proud of.” The many sponsors have provided a wide variety of school supplies including book bags to ensure the attendees have a great beginning this school year.
“Elite Events Management is dedicated to the community and is constantly searching for ways to give back to our youth,” said Tawanda Sims, owner of Elite Events Management. “The Back to school soiree is the last party before school starts so we want to be sure to have fun, get some good motivational information for the school year, and we want to provide the children with essentials for school.”
The event will be hosted by WSVN Channel 7’s Omar Lewis and School Board member, Dr. Rosalind Osgood will serve as the guest speaker.
