The City of Lauderdale Lakes continues to monitor Hurricane Ian and is working hard to ensure that its residents, businesses and community members are safe during the storm.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rainfall will increase across the Florida Keys and south Florida today spreading into central and northern Florida tonight and Wednesday, into the Southeast U.S. by Thursday and Friday, likely causing flash, urban, and small stream flooding.

Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency that includes Broward County. In an effort to keep our residents, staff, and community members safe, please note the following:

Programs:

Aftercare at Vincent Torres Park - closed on Wednesday

Athletic Programs - closed on Tuesday & Wednesday

Senior Center - closed the remainder of the week

Alzheimer's Center - closed on Wednesday & Thursday
