LAUDERDALE LAKES: (LAUDERDALE LAKES, Florida) — On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Lauderdale Lakes welcomed the City of Belize to the City.

Darrell Bradley, Belize City Mayor, along with a delegation that included Councilman Michael Theus, Economic Development-Belize City Council and Ms. Lianne Torres, Investment Associate- BELTRAIDE, visited the City of Lauderdale Lakes to learn more about our Public Works, Law Enforcement and more importantly, explore Economic Development opportunities. As part of the annual “Doing Business with Belize” event sponsored by Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development, Mayor Bradley expressed his desire to expand trade in the South Florida market.

Mayor Hazelle Rogers welcomed the opportunity and assured the Belize delegation that Lauderdale Lakes is poised, ready and open for business. Lauderdale Lakes’ Assistant City Manager, Susan Gooding-Liburd took the delegation on a tour of one of Lauderdale Lakes’ Foreign Trade Zones located in Industrial Park. “The delegation was very pleased with the hospitality, openness and willingness to work,” according to Michael Devin Young, Executive Director for the Belize American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, Inc.
