LAUDERDALE LAKES, Florida) — The City of Lauderdale Lakes Community Resource Fair and backpack giveaway held today was a great success. Lauderdale Lakes provided the community with much needed information, resources and services along with backpacks and school supplies. The event took place from 10am until 2pm at the Lauderdale Lakes Vincent Torres Park located at 4331 NW 36th Street. “We are certainly proud to be able to provide these type services and supplies to our community”, said Mayor Hazelle Rogers. “Lauderdale Lakes is a We Care city and hosting events that feed the mind, body, and spirit is proof of that.”
Over 50 organizations attended to provide information regarding various available programs and social services. Participants were able to take advantage of various free health screenings and immunizations.
The Community Resource Fair was sponsored in part, by the following organizations: VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, Marmed, Walmart Vision, Broward Health, Humana, CapTel, McKinley Financial, Chen Medical, Sunshine Health, Amada Senior Care, and CVS.
