Economic Growth In The City of Lauderdale Lakes
Grand Opening and Groundbreaking Projects Worthy of Praise
Lauderdale Lakes, FL May 20, 2016: Property owner, Mr. Eric Nathanson of Oakland Center, LLC is celebrating the grand opening of his newly renovated Oakland Center located in the City of Lauderdale Lakes and while Mr. Nathanson is celebrating his accomplishments with the City, Lauderdale Lakes Industrial Park , Joint Venture is celebrating their groundbreaking with the City as well. Both ceremonial occasions is set to take place Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00PM and 6:30PM.

“It’s not often a City gets to commemorate two momentous occasions on the same day,” said Community Redevelopment Chair, Patricia Hawkins-Williams. “We are extremely proud of all the work put into making this renovation of the Oakland Center a goal achieved project and can hardly wait to cut the ribbons on the Industrial Park. These partnerships are exactly what we need to continue moving our City forward.”

By participating in a public/private partnership with the City of Lauderdale Lakes Community Redevelopment Agency(CRA), both of these owners have been able to add to the growing economy of Lauderdale Lakes. Nathanson invested $50k of private funding to complete his 8-storefront building with rejuvenated parking, landscaping, signage and lighting for the entire property project, which allowed for the CRA to match that amount through Commercial Façade Improvement Program(CFIP) Funding, while the Industrial Park, Joint Venture partners added their share to the $297,507 groundbreaking project after the CRA CFIP provided $150K. Both Projects will provide lasting benefits to the property owners and the Lauderdale Lakes community and will serve to attract new businesses and private investment throughout the City’s commercial district.

With these partnership ventures and a few others, the City of Lauderdale Lakes is making great strides in becoming an economically sound and sought after City in the Broward County area.
