Juneteenth MOVIE NIGHT Flyer (The Great Debaters)

Join us for a movie night in celebration of Juneteenth, a holiday intended to celebrate the effective end of slavery in the United States.

 

About this event

The city of Lauderdale Lakes Presents our Outdoor Drive-Up Movie Night. In order to ensure social distancing we will host this movie night on our large soccer field at Willie Webb park. Tickets will be verified at the gate. TICKETS ARE FREE but you must RSVP on Eventbrite - 1 RSVP PER CAR

The Great Debaters: A drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship.

Friday, June 17, 2022 | Space opens: 7 pm | Movie begins at 8:00p | Food Trucks will be on site 

COVID-19 guidelines will be fully enforced. MASKS are recommended outdoors when 6 feet distance cannot be maintained.
