[ARCHIVED] Broward TAC Committee Update

Maqsood Nasir Chair of BrowardTAC NM

The City of Lauderdale Lakes is pleased to announce that on June 24, 2020 City Engineer-CIP Administrator, Nasir M. Maqsood, was elected as the Vice Chair for the Broward Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the 2020-2021 year. Karen Warfel, Vice Chair for the previous term, from the City of Fort Lauderdale, will serve as this term’s Chair. Mr. Maqsood is appreciative of the proposal for his consideration by Thomas Good from the City of Deerfield Beach. Mr. Good is also a commissioner at the City of Pembroke Pines.

The Broward MPO established the TAC to advise and provide expertise for the Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) decision-making process and to provide valuable assessment of MPO plans and programs. The TAC is comprised primarily of engineers, planners, and other professionals who represent local governments and transportation agencies. These individuals serve in an advisory capacity by providing recommendations to the MPO Board based on current scientific information, technical sufficiency, accuracy and completeness of studies, plans, and programs.

The TAC meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 2:30 p.m. in the MPO Board Room, located in the Trade Centre South Building at 100 West Cypress Creek Road, 6th Floor, Suite 650, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. These meetings are open to the public and participation is encouraged.
