Building

The Building Section is the City agency that enforces the Florida Building Code. The Division's responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing all plans for new and miscellaneous construction, including improvements and additions;
  • Inspecting all aspects of all construction at progressive stages;
  • Collecting permit fees and issuing permits for all categories associated with building; and
  • Issuing Certificates of Occupancy

Reinstating initial plan review fees effective May 1, 2023
An initial plan review fee for all new permit submittals is required. Once we receive the permit application, we will process the request and email the process number to the email listed on the permit application with a link to pay the initial plan review fee. The payment is required to start the plan review process.

As of May 1, 2023, we will no longer accept Permits without the Following:

A complete permit application with all information filled out, including the job value.
